Ashok Lavasa, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1980 Haryana cadre, brings over four decades of distinguished service in governance, finance, and international development. He has held several prominent positions, including Election Commissioner of India, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank, and Union Secretary in the Ministries of Finance, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, and Civil Aviation.
During his tenure, he played key roles in conducting the 2019 General Elections, expanding private sector engagement in Asia's development, and advancing global climate action, gender equity, and the Sustainable Development Goals. He also led India's delegation in major international climate negotiations, including COP21 in Paris, and was instrumental in finalizing India's Nationally Determined Contributions under the UNFCCC.
A prolific writer and thought leader, Mr. Lavasa is the author of three books and numerous essays. He holds advanced degrees in Defence & Strategic Studies, Business Administration, and English Literature. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is an avid traveler and enthusiast of photography, trekking, river rafting, music, and sports.

Parveen Kaswan is an Aerospace Engineer turned Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer, with a master's degree in Design from IISc Bangalore. As an IFS officer, he is responsible for implementing key forest and wildlife policies on the ground, working at the intersection of nature conservation, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development.
His articles and interviews are widely published in leading national media, making him one of India's most recognized environmental voices. Parveen is also a member of the IUCN Commission on Education and Communication, contributing to global conservation dialogue. Today, he is regarded as one of the most followed and influential environmentalists and wildlife conservationists in the country.
Kavita Sachwani is a sustainable finance specialist with over two decades of experience advancing environmental and social impact through the financial sector. As part of the global leadership team at the United Nations Environment Progamme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), she works with banks globally to integrate circular economy, climate, nature, and pollution considerations into real-economy transitions. Her career spans roles at CRISIL, the HDFC Group, FINO, and most recently with the World Bank’s 2030 Water Resources Group, where she championed innovative finance and circular water solutions. Deeply passionate about nature and community resilience, Kavita is committed to strengthening the connection between people, ecosystems, and sustainable finance. She also writes Diaries of a Water Professional, a reflective journal series inspired by her work on water, nature, and sustainability.
